Murphy, Texas is located in the northeastern part of the state, within Collin County. It’s situated approximately 20 miles northeast of downtown Dallas and about 9 miles east of Plano. Murphy is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and is considered a suburb of the larger cities in the region.

You’re about 28 minutes to downtown Dallas and about 54 minutes to downtown Fort Worth. You have easy highway access around the metroplex. Residents have access to TX 183 W route to get to Fort Worth or US-75 S route to Dallas.

Murphy is easily accessible to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (36 minutes drive) as well as Dallas Love Field (35 minutes drive)
