This Gourmet Popcorn Will Blow Your Mind

Hey quick question for ya.  Got the munchies? That’s what the Popcorn Stop is counting on.

Those in the know flock to this kernel kingdom in south Arlington.

Popcorn Stop creates fresh gourmet popcorn on site. If you get the right angle, you can even see that magic in action from the lobby.

The place is owned by husband and wife team Sean and Ericka Rhodes. In fact, Sean quit his job as an engineer to open the Popcorn Stop a few years ago. Talk about a passion for popcorn.

If you visit for the first time and find yourself overwhelmed by the sheer number of popcorn flavors and combinations they have, don’t fret. The young, hip staff will help you with a few free samples to help you decide.

Oh, yes. This joint goes beyond the standard butter popcorn fare although that is an option for the traditionalist. They have gourmet flavors ranging from Dreamsicle Orange to Jalepeno Ranch to S’mores and everything in between.

Popcorn Stop has even created the Arlington Mix, which happens to be my fave. It’s a delicious mix of butter, caramel and cheese flavors.

Before we go any further, I’ve got to issue a warning. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, this place will be your home away from home. In addition to the popcorn, the fine folks have a wide range of candy and other treats to rev up your engines.
