The Upstairs Gallery

Eleanor Martin, one of The Upstairs Gallery’s founders, believed that art is an experience that brings people together. Martin spent countless hours painting with friends, but one of the most important elements of art for her was education. Her love for art education is one of the reasons the gallery carries on the tradition of hosting classes today. The gallery, which displays many styles and forms or art, applies the same range to its course offerings. Classes, taught by respected artists and offered for all ages, include watercolor, drawing and acrylic, oil painting, watermedia, experimental art, jewelry making pottery and more. 1038 W Abram St

The UTA Glass program looks at the functional aesthetics of glass as an artistic media and teaches traditional, contemporary and experimental techniques.
