Meetups aren’t only for people who are new to town.
They’re also a perfect way to branch out of your comfort zone, learn something new, meet new people, and grow as an individual.
When you’re the only member of your family and/or friend group with a special interest, Meetups offer an opportunity for you to pursue that interest in community, rather than you being required to take on a forced lone ranger role in your hobby pursuit.
Who knows? Take a chance on a new group of individuals with similar interests to your own and you may even meet that best friend you never knew you were missing. With many Meetups centered in Arlington, there’s something for everyone.

This initiating community member also established VolunteerLove.com.
The group description mentions serving the homeless and orphaned, at-risk youth, veterans, the elderly and more. It goes on to encourage prospective members to join if they “feel at all compelled to help, heal, love, and live in a state of gratitude while cultivating those same qualities within yourself with an amazing group of loving, giving individuals.”

These events, where all dog owners and/or lovers are welcome no matter the size of their dog, are typically located at trusted dog parks, hiking establishments and restaurants.
