According to a recent WalletHub study, Arlington is the 11th best city in the country to start a career.
WalletHub analyzed and ranked the 150 largest U.S. cities based on 19 metrics. These metrics focused on professional opportunities and quality of life.
You may be surprised to see so many Texas cities rank high. Irving and Grand Prairie topped the list. Other Texas cities in the top ten included Austin (#3), Houston (#5), Corpus Christi (#6) and Fort Worth (#8).

As a part of the professional opportunities metrics WalletHub analyzed, they looked at monthly median starting salary (adjusted for cost of living). Arlington ranked #2 in country as the highest monthly median starting salary.
We have a lot of pride for Arlington so I’m really excited to see us at #11. It’s another reason Arlington is a great place to call home. Plus, this is a great tie-in to the recent study that ranked Arlington as the second best city for people 35 and under.
