Pet Adoption in Arlington with the Arlington Animal Services Center

If you’re looking to adopt a pet in Arlington, the Arlington Animal Services Center has been finding homes for furry friends for a number of years. The center offers pet adoptions for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, snakes and other animals.

Now, what should you expect when you’re ready to adopt a pet through the Arlington Animal Services Center?

First, start here. This site will show you what animals are currently eligible for adoption at the Animal Services Center. You can view the current adoptable animals as well as learn about the breed, age, color and sex. If you find one you like or just have questions, call the Animal Services Center at (817) 459-5898. Pet adoption fees at the Arlington Animal Services Center aren’t a profit-making venture. They go towards providing veterinary care, maintaining facilities, and paying the staff. Adoption fees range from $80 for cats and $100 for dogs.

Your adoption fee also includes a wide variety of care for your new
pet. Each adoption includes:

• Spay or neuter
• City license
• Microchip
• Core vaccines
• Rabies vaccine
• Heartworm/FeLV/FIV testing services

The Animal Services Center also host mobile pet adoption events at the PetSmart in the Arlington Highlands on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month (along with several ongoing events). And watch out for their adoption specials they run from time to time.
