How Diverse is Arlington Compared to Other Cities in the Country?

Another factor you may consider is diversity. Remember when the City of Arlington adopted the slogan The American Dream City last year? Diversity was listed as a reason why Arlington was a great place to live and achieve the American Dream.

If diversity is important to you, here’s some news you’ll want to know about. WalletHub recently released a study on the most diverse cities in the country. According to their findings, Arlington is the 14th most diverse city.

WalletHub analyzed and ranked the 230 largest U.S. cities based on four major categories:

  1. Cities with the Most & Least Economic Class Diversity Rank
  2. Cities with the Most & Least Ethno-Racial & Linguistic Diversity Rank
  3. Cities with the Most & Least Diversified Economies Rank
  4. Household Diversity

The top 10 most diverse cities, according to the study are:

  • Los Angeles, CA
  • Long Beach, CA
  • San Diego, CA (Tied for 3rd)
  • Anaheim, CA (Tied for 3rd)
  • Sacramento, CA
  • Renton, WA
  • Houston, TX (Tied for 7th)
  • Kent, WA (Tied for 7th)
  • Bakersfield, CA
  • Federal Way, WA

Fort Worth ranked 12th while Dallas ranked 16th.
