Who says you’ve got to shell out the big bucks to look fantastic?

Yea, big time shops and designer retailers flood us with marketing to make us think great style only comes with hefty price tags. That is simply not the case!

In fact, we touched on this topic before in our look at consignment shops in Arlington.

Savvy shoppers know that in addition to consignment shops, thrift stores are great places of great finds from vintage looks to slightly loved designer apparel and more.

With Arlington’s residents made up of college students, young trendy adults and a sophisticated older population, there are great finds to be had at some of Arlington’s thrift stores. Take a look at what they have to offer:

Thrift Town

You’ll find Thrift Town on Abram Street near Meadowbrook Park Golf Course. Part of a national chain, Thrift Town is the most popular thrift store in town. The clothes are in order by size and the shoes organized in their own area of the store. If you’re a frequent thrifter like me, that ought to put a smile on your face. They also have plenty of other items ranging from books to housewares. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for coupons and discounts to help you save even more money. 1517 E Abram St

Texas Thrift

On the corner of S. Cooper and W. Pioneer Parkway, Texas Thrift has a large selection of clothes and shoes.  You’ll also have access to pretty good home goods selections. It’s not as bright and easy to shop as Thrift Town, but that’s not deterrent to coming here. Plenty of deals can be had for the patient and persistent shopper. 2100 S Cooper St

Goodwill Retail Stores

Goodwill’s thrift stores in Arlington have everything from furniture, home goods, shoes and clothes. These places offers uncommonly good prices for folks who want to look great, but have a pretty tight budget. 7351 S Cooper, 2391 N. Collins and 1100 W Arkansas Ln

Veterans Thrift Store

If you want a hidden gem, check out Veterans Thrift Store. The selection here is on par with any of the other thrift stores I’ve been to in Arlington.  It’s also fantastic that your dollars spent here go to support veterans and their families. 2401 W Pioneer Pkwy, Suite 161 (Pantego)

There are so many ways that you can get more by spending your hard earned money at thrift stores in Arlington. Take a Saturday and make a day of thrifting in Arlington. You never know what awesome deal you’ll stumble upon. Thrift on, Arlington!
